Very pale and brilliant; typical of young Sauvignon Blanc.
Bright, fresh and lifted; lime leaf, cut grass and passionfruit dominate the nose with a touch of orange blossom adding a lovely floral lift.
Long, juicy and intensely flavoured with vibrant young Sauvignon flavours and refreshing acidity.
Drinking beautifully now.
2018 was an extraordinary vintage in Margaret River, with wet winter months followed by a warm spring to promote budburst and a dry early summer perfect for fruit set. Isolated heavy rain then swelled the fruit, with a beautiful late summer of warm days and cool nights; ideal conditions for accentuating the flavour, ripeness and acid balance of the grapes.
All the fruit for this wine was picked during the coolest part of the night to ensure the fruit reached the winery as cool as possible. During fermentation, cool temperatures were utilised to encourage aroma production, texture and overall varietal character. On completion of fermentation, selected batches remained on light, fresh yeast lees for up to three months. The wine was then blended and lightly fined before being stabilised and filtered only once to produce a bottle-ready wine. This minimal handling has helped to retain the attractive primary fruit flavours and aromas that are the hallmark of the E&T Range style.
