In 2021 Evans & Tate is celebrating their 50th year. From Swan Valley origins to their Margaret River home, Evans & Tate is proud to be amongst Western Australia’s pioneering wineries.
Join us as we celebrate with an exclusive long table dinner at Young George, a unique neighbourhood bar with a serious focus on food. Hosted by Matt Byrne, Evans & Tate’s Head Winemaker, with a menu curated by Young George Head Chef and co-owner, Melissa Palinkas, and our very own Guy Jeffreys, this will be a night to remember.
The food produced by Melissa Palinkas has been lavished with praise by food reviewers who describe her food with words like ‘inventive, fun, smart, original and drop-dead gorgeous’.
While she enjoys producing an innovative menu, Melissa runs a sustainable kitchen, making the best use of every part of vegetables and meats and minimising waste and plastic use.
Renowned for innovative and sustainable cuisine at Millbrook Restaurant, Guy Jeffreys recently moved onto a greater role within the Fogarty Wine Group as Executive Chef overseeing the company’s entire food portfolio.
As part of this move, Guy continues his no waste, sustainable food ethos focusing on ingredients that are seasonal & local, a ‘nose to tail’ or ‘root to shoot’ approach, a mentality that is shared with Young George’s Melissa.
This a feasting experience, kicking off with delectable canapes from each chef, followed by a sit-down dinner with Guy and Melissa going course for course, matched to wines from the award-winning Single Vineyard and Redbrook ranges.
Finish off with a delectable cheese course and a very special wine from deep within the Evans & Tate cellar. We’re excited about this one!
