The Redbrook Reserve range represents the pinnacle of Evans & Tate winemaking, highlighting two of Margaret River's hallmark varietals: Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Fruit sourced for these ultra-premium wines are from some of the oldest vines (40 years old) in the Wilyabrup subregion of Margaret River. Named after the Wilyabrup Creek, the proximity of this subregion to the Indian Ocean provides cooling maritime breezes, offering ideal growing conditions for high-quality fruit. Ancient, fertile soils impart a unique terroir which has helped to put Margaret River Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon on the world stage.
On the winemaking ethos behind the highly acclaimed Redbrook range, Senior Winemaker Matt Bryne said: "fruit, and hence regional character, is the focal point of the Redbrook Reserve style. Pure Margaret River. This range achieves the difficult balance of providing a wonderfully complex drinking experience without sacrificing fruit freshness and vitality."

BEST IN SHOW AT THE DECANTER WORLD WINE AWARDS
Our 2018 Redbrook Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded a prestigious ‘Best in Show’ medal at the world’s most recognised wine show, the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) 2023.
This Redbrook Cabernet was awarded 97 points (the highest score given at this year’s show), and it was 1 of only 3 Cabernet Sauvignons awarded ‘Best in Show’, meaning this award-winning wine is one of the best Cabernets in the world!
The 2023 competition saw 18,250 wines judged, with only 50 wines awarded the highest award for 'Best in Show'.
AUSTRALIA'S BEST CHARDONNAY
Our 2021 Redbrook Estate Chardonnay was crowned Best Australian Chardonnay and took out the Trophy for Best Margaret River Chardonnay, with 97 points and Top Gold at the James Halliday Australian Chardonnay and Cabernet Challenge.
This incredible result followed a huge win at the Sydney Royal Wine Show this year, when the 2021 Redbrook Estate Chardonnay won three Trophies for Best Wine of Show, Best White, and Best Chardonnay. Speaking on this result, Chair of Judges Sarah Crowe said:
“Australian wine connoisseurs are winners here. The 2023 Sydney Royal Wine Show has demonstrated that not only are Australian producers delivering incredible wines, but they are doing so at reasonable price points for consumers. MAX SCHUBERT TROPHY WINNER
Our 2019 Redbrook Estate Shiraz was awarded the highly coveted Max Schubert Trophy for Most Outstanding Red Wine of Show at the most prestigious capital city wine show in the country – the Royal Adelaide Wine Show.
The 2019 Redbrook Estate Shiraz also won two other Trophies for Best Shiraz of Show and Best Shiraz 2020 Vintage or Older, bringing the total tally to an incredible three Trophies! Alongside the Jimmy Watson Trophy (Royal Melbourne Wine Show), the Max Schubert Trophy is one of the most well-known and highly regarded wine awards in Australia.
5 TROPHIES FOR OUR REDBROOK RESERVE CHARDONNAY
Our 2020 Redbrook Reserve Chardonnay was awarded 5 trophies at the Perth Royal Wine Awards 2023, including being crowned Best Wine of Show.
The five trophies awarded were: Best Wine of Show, Best Western Australian Wine, Best White Table Wine, Best West Australian White Table Wine and Best Chardonnay. Speaking on this exceptional result, Winemaker Feleasha Prendergast said:
"To be singled out as one of the best wines in Australia and to also win back-to-back Best Wine of Show (also won Best in Show in 2022) is an incredible achievement, and something the whole Evans & Tate team should be proud of. INTERNATIONAL WINE & SPIRITS CHALLENGE
Our 2020 Redbrook Estate Cabernet Merlot was 1 of just 24 wines awarded a Trophy at the International Wine & Spirits Challenge (IWSC) in London. This result firmly places this Margaret River wine as 1 of the top 24 wines in the world.
IWSC judges scored this wine 95 points and said: "A wine of pedigree with a palate that is beautifully balanced with notes of dark fruits, red berries, pencil shavings, and herbs. Beads of refreshing acidity run through to the powerful finish, demonstrating the skill with which it has been crafted. A sophisticated and age-worthy example."
The 2019 Redbrook Reserve Chardonnay also received a Gold Medal at the IWSC 2023. This wine has already won a Trophy for Best Chardonnay at the Royal Hobart Wine Show 2021, as well as 9 Gold Medals across the Australian wine show circuit.
