3 Trophies for Best White Wine, Best Chardonnay & Best Cabernet Blend at the Sydney Royal Wine Show 2024

3 Trophies for Best White Wine, Best Chardonnay & Best Cabernet Blend at the Sydney Royal Wine Show 2024

We are over the moon to announce that we received three trophies at the Sydney Royal Wine Show last week.

Two trophies (The Albert Chan Memorial Prize for Best White Wine and The AP John Coopers Perennial Trophy for Best Chardonnay) were awarded to our 2022 Redbrook Reserve Chardonnay and The Jones, Steains and Waller Perpetual Trophy was awarded to our 2021 Redbrook Estate Cabernet Merlot.

Sydney Royal Wine Show Chair of Judges Sarah Crowe said: "Chardonnay was an absolute delight to assess. Chardonnay is at the top of its game and Australian producers are consistently delivering a world-class wine that rivals any international competitor.

“From the larger producers like Evans & Tate, who took home Best White and Best Chardonnay with the 2022 Evans & Tate Redbrook Reserve Chardonnay, to smaller producers such as Silkman Wines, who claimed Best Small Producer with the 2023 Silkman Wines Silk Chardonnay, the quality of Chardonnay Australians are getting is exceptional.”

The Sydney Royal Wine Show is one of Australia’s largest and longest-running wine shows, celebrating industry excellence. The 2024 show saw a number of Australia’s most experienced wine experts assessing more than 1,700 wines.

Congratulations to Senior Winemaker Matt Byrne, Winemaker Feleasha Prendergast, Chief Viticulturist John Fogarty and all the winemaking and vineyard teams on these results.
